救急セッティングにおいて、3,999,528例のpSOFAを評価。pSOFA 2以上は院内死亡というアウトカムにおいて、感度 0.65（0.62～0.67）、特異度 0.97（0.97 ～ 0.97）、陰性予測値 1.0（1.00～ 1.00 ）だった。感染症疑い（599,502例），敗血症（42,992例），敗血症性ショック（374例）の院内死亡率は，それぞれ0.0％，0.9％，8.0％。pSOFAは、全受診者（AUC 0.81（0.79〜0.82））対象でも、感染症疑いの患者対象でも（AUC 0.82（0.80-0.84））、院内死亡について同等の予測力を有していた。

まあ、こどもはあまり死なないので、高感度、低特異度、という結果に。
