Day trip to Chester and Port Sunlight Village
先週末、日帰りでチェスターと、ポートサンライト村に行ってきました。
I visited Chester and Port Sunlight Village on a day trip last weekend.
ポートサンライト村は、石鹸作り工場で働く人のために作られた村という歴史があるようで、村のミュージアムに行くとたくさんの石鹸が売られていました。
Port Sunlight Village was built for people who worked at a soap factory, so I found many soaps for sale at the Port Sunlight Museum gifts shop.
村にはLady Lever Art Gallery というギャラリーもあり、歴史ある家具の展示もされていました。家具好きの人は是非行ってみてください。
There is a gallery called Lady Lever Art Gallery that houses a significant collection of historical furniture, making it a highly recommended visit for furniture enthusiasts.
チェスターは北西イングランドに位置する都市で、紀元1世紀にローマの要塞として設立された歴史があるそうです。
路面沿いだけでなく2階にも違うお店があったりするなど、建物が特徴的で歩いているだけでワクワクしました。

I discovered shops on more than just the first floor of the buildings, and the unique architectural styles of the buildings made my street walk so exciting.
チェスターの教会に入ると、日曜日ということもあり、讃美歌やパイプオルガンの音が聴こえてきました。中はハリーポッターに出てきそうな雰囲気で、改めて自分が今イギリスにいてるんだということを感じました。
I visited Chester Cathedral on a Sunday and had the chance to listen to the pipe organ’s majestic sounds and hymns. The interior of the Cathedral resembled a scene from a Harry Potter film, making me feel like I was truly in the UK.
