子どもが興味がなくても、親は子どもに習い事をさせるべきである。賛成?反対?
When you were little, did you do any after school activity?
According to a website below, popular after school activities for children are: (1) swimming, (2) music lessons, (3) cram school, (4) e-learning/online learning, and then (5) English learning. Did you do any of them?
A survey also shows that about 72% of elementary school children do some kinds of after school activities. We can definitely say that after school activities for children is quite common.
However, it seems also true that some people mention that their experience of these after school activities was not really meaningful simply because they were not originally passionate and/or interested in it. Even some children "had to" learn something by after school activities just because their parents forced them to do so.
That being said, do you think parents should make children have after school activities even if they are not interested? How can that bring positive or negative effects? Effects to whom?
As usual, it is recommended that you include perspectives of more than one category of people. In this case, possible categories are parents, children, teachers, and so on. There are probably more choices if you think deeper.
