What about Green card lottery

I have been thinking to move to another country seriously since Dec, 2023. it’s been 7 months already.
I still couldn’t made up my mind, and another thought came up.. what about applying for green card lottery?

Asking my Husband

I know it’s not easy at all. My husband had 2 friends who won the lottery! so yesterday I told him I am thinking to apply for it. He was like, ‘ it’s not easy’. so I told him, ‘ I know it’s not easy but there are some people actually winning!!’ He agreed and said ‘ yea actually... and he seems rich.’ That’s super cool!!!!!
The chance of winning this lottery is not high I guess, but you wouldn’t get a chance if you don’t do.

How to apply for it?

I asked Chat GPT and checked the official website. The requirements are below:
- you need to either have conpleted high school level education or two years job experience which is in zone 4-5.
- you need to hold the specific country’s nationality: Ghana and Japan are all in.
- photogragh of all the family members
- and some other things which is common

At first, I thought we could both apply individually so the chance will be double but seems not possible. you need to apply with your family members info together.
so I asked Chat GPT which nationality has a chance to win higher? It says it’s equal but usually Ghanian applys more so probably Japanese would have more chance to win.
Got it, I should apply then.

In October

The lottery for 2025? 2026? happens in October so I should keep my eye on it and updated.
IF i win, I should go for the interview and get the card, withing 1 or 2 years ( I forget ) we can move so we still have some time to prepare.

Which state will be the best?

Not sure at all... Hawaii sounds cool and nice, but is there a lot of jobs?
Main land sounds a but dangerous... I like NY but it’s cold in winter. I prefer to move to the place where the tempreture doesb’t go extremely high or low. If I win, I should consider it very well.
