雑記 175 TODAY＿＿Auther unknown

Today

Today I left some dishes dirty,
The bed got made about two-thirty.
The nappies soaked a little longer,
The odour got a little stronger.

The crumbs I slept the day before 
Were staring at me from the floor.
The art steaks on those windows panes
Will still be there next time it rains.

"For shame, oh lazy one," you say,
And "just what did you do today?"

I nursed a baby till she slept,
I held a toddler while he wept.
I played the game  of hide'n'seek,
I squeezed a toy so it would squeak.
I pushed a swing, sang a song, 
I taught a child what's right and wrong.

What did you do this whole day though?

Not much that shows, I guess it's ture.
Unless you think that what I've done
Might be important to someone
With bright blue eyes, soft blond hair.
If it is true, I've done my share.

今日、

わたしはお皿を洗わなかった
ベッドはぐちゃぐちゃ

浸けといたおむつは　
だんだんくさくなってきた

きのうこぼした食べかすが
床の上からわたしを見ている

窓ガラスはよごれすぎてアートみたい
雨が降るまでこのままだと思う

ひどいねえとか、だらしないとか
今日一日、何をしていたの？とか

わたしは、
この子が眠るまで、おっぱいをやっていた
わたしは、
この子が泣きやむまで、ずっとだっこしていた
わたしは、この子とかくれんぼした
わたしは、この子のためにおもちゃを鳴らした
それはきゅうっと鳴った
わたしは、ぶらんこをゆすり、歌をうたった

わたしは、この子に
していいことと、わるいことを教えた

ほんとにいったい一日
何をしていたのかな

たいしたことはしなかったね、

たぶん、それはほんと

でもこう考えれば　いいんじゃない？

今日一日、わたしは
すごく大切なことをしていたんだって
そしてもし、そのほうがほんとなら

わたしはちゃーんとやったわけだ
