Yappli Announces Appointment and Change of Executive Officers to Further Strengthen Management Structure

Yappli, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan, Representative Director and CEO: Yasubumi Ihara, hereinafter “Yappli, Inc.”), a company providing a no-code mobile app platform Yappli, announced that Takahiro Yamamoto has been transferred to the position of Chief Operating Officer (“COO”) and Masashi Ichikawa has been appointed as Executive Officer, in order to further strengthen the management structure, effective as of January 1, 2023.

■ Background
Takahiro Yamamoto, who has been appointed as the COO, has been leading Yappli, Inc.’s growth in marketing strategy since joining Yappli, Inc. as CMO in 2019. After going public, he led not only in marketing but also in company-wide strategy planning and implementation, sales management, and overall supervision to build the top line. He has contributed to business growth through streamlined strategy execution and operation. He has also earned the trust of his team members, including the way he balances family and work and has been appointed to the position of COO, in order to strengthen the management structure.

Masashi Ichikawa, the newly appointed Executive Officer, joined Yappli, Inc. in 2018, and has built the foundation of Yappli's Customer Success (hereinafter referred to as "CS") initiatives and organization by utilizing his expertise, skills, and experience in CS. Currently, as the VP of CS Department, which has approximately 80 members, he has continued to achieve Yappli's most important KPI, a churn rate of less than 1.0%, for the past 5 years. Customer Success is one of Yappli's values and has contributed greatly to fostering a culture in which all employees value CS through "Customer Success Day" and other events. Ichikawa is appointed to the position of Executive Officer for having a high level of management awareness, and is trusted by other Executive Officers and members, as well as to further strengthen Customer Success.
