『Year 3000』はBustedデビューアルバム『Busted』の5曲目。
タイムマシンに乗って西暦3000年に行くという歌詞の楽曲です。
ポップなメロディにBustedらしいお茶目な歌詞が素敵な楽曲で、聴いていて楽しい気持ちになる楽曲です。
『Year 3000』の歌詞で面白いのが2番のところ。
未来ではたくさんのボーイバンドがデビューしていたと皮肉った歌詞があるのですが、面白いことにJonas Brathersというボーイバンドにカバーされたのです。
しかも歌詞の一部は子ども向けにマイルドに変更されて。
これはめちゃくちゃ売れたそうですね。
僕自身カバーされていたのは全く知らなかったのですが、以前ディズニープラスでハンナ・モンタナのライブを見ていたらこのJonas Brothersが登場して『Year 3000』を歌って衝撃を受けたのです。
面白い繋がりは続くもので、昨年にはBustedとJonas Brothersがコラボして『Year 3000』を歌ったりもしました。
この曲の背景を知ると非常に面白いコラボだと分かりますね。
『Year 3000』はベストアルバムの1曲目にもなっていますし、アルバム1曲目としても非常にテンションの上がるいい曲だと感じています。
