ちょこっと英語日記【英語の語彙力を増やす!の巻】

1、先ずは日本語で。

昨日から英単語の勉強を再開しました。
高校生の時に使っていた単語帳を使って、語彙や熟語の知識量を増やしたいです。

2、グーグル先生と相談。

I restarted my English study from yesterday.
I want more knowledge of English words and idioms.
That helps me to increase my range of expressions, so I plan to study English vocabulary books which I use when I was a high school student.

日本語も英語も、表現の幅を広げてもっともっと心情を伝えたい!
心の機微ってやつね。

お返事の続き。。

You only "restart" something once, so you don't say "from yesterday". Just say "restarted yesterday."

In "That helps me to increase my range", the "that" needs to follow something that increases your English knowledge. I've rewritten it as "To help me increase my range, I plan…" so that it's clear that the English vocabulary books are what is helping increase the knowledge.

I also dropped the "so" because it's redundant if you already have "to" in the sentence.
You need to use the past tense in "used when I was in high school". Always make sure that all of the tenses in a sentence are the same.
I think "which I used when…" is grammatical correct, but most people I know would probably say "books that I used when…". I've changed it in my correction, but it's fine either way.

■  redundant
→余分な、過剰な

Thank you for explaining it so courteously!!
