A Visit to theKanazawa Hakuchoro Hotel Sanraku.「金沢白鳥路ホテル山楽」
This time, I visited the hotel lounge "PARTIE" at Kanazawa Hakuchoro Hotel Sanraku.
An Elegant Space Etched in History
Spending time in this atmosphere makes you feel as if you've time-traveled back to the Taisho era.
Retro gives me a sense of nostalgia for Japanese elements and a high-class Western feel. I love this mix of styles, but it’s not just retro—the beauty of Kanazawa's traditional crafts is also blended in, allowing you to enjoy the unique beauty of Kanazawa's traditions.
However, I was surprised to learn that the building was not built in the Showa era, nor in the Heisei era, but in September 1991. Moreover, 1991 was the year the economic bubble burst, so it's even more surprising that such a magnificent building was constructed during that time.
The Most Interesting Feature in This Space is the Stained Glass.
Japanese Stained Glass

Speaking of stained glass, it came to Japan with Christianity and was used in various places during the Meiji era, as part of pseudo-Western architecture built to spread the breath of civilization to the common people.
The stained glass, which was originally meant to convey the winds of the West, incorporating Japanese motifs creates a fascinating contrast.
Taste the Retro
Retro Cream Soda
You can enjoy a classic retro cream soda in this lounge. There are a variety of flavors to try, but I opted for hot coffee.
a hot coffee, which was sprinkled with gold leaf, just like in Kanazawa.
It is a calm space where you can take a moment to relax. Since it is located near Kenrokuen Garden, it is worth a leisurely stop even if you are not staying at a hotel.
