My Self-Management and Saving Money as a Remote Worker - Vol. 1: The Relationship between Things and Time

I have been working remotely for about 14 years. I have been a remote worker since before the term "remote work" became commonplace in recent years. I am a full-time remote worker, not a part-time remote worker who comes to the office several times a week. I would like to share with you some of the things I have accumulated in the course of looking at my own way of life.

I apologize for the title being a bit ostentatious. The title "The Relationship between Things and Time" may sound formal, but what I want to say is quite simple.
We buy things with the money we earn from our work. Buying things is a necessary part of life, and sometimes it may even bring us a certain sense of happiness.
But I would like to pause for a moment and think again about what it means to "buy things.

As mentioned earlier, we buy things with the money we earn from our work. This act is also called "consumption," and it is an indispensable step in the market economy. Consumption" is sometimes referred to as the engine of the market economy. Naturally, if people's "consumption" is stagnant, the world's economy will suffer. It is similar to a car that runs poorly if the engine is not in good condition.
Therefore, companies are doing everything they can to encourage people to consume.

Let me digress for a moment and turn my attention to the way people live in the Corona disaster.
Although we are now returning to the pre-Corona period, people's lifestyles have changed over the past few years as a result of the Corona disaster. I would like to highlight one lesson that I have learned from these changes. That is,
There are some jobs that are really necessary and some that are not.
