Uber Eats Japan has announced the launch of a food delivery service using automated delivery robots (Unmanned Ground Vehicles: UGVs) in some areas of Tokyo.
The delivery robot travels at a max speed of 5.4 km/h on sidewalks, with an insulated cargo space ensuring proper food temperature maintenance for deliveries.
Through this service, the company aims to improve the efficiency and safety of food delivery.
