What I learned in Cebu

Hello everyone☺︎
Today, I would like to share my experience in Cebu🏝️

This is my first time to write note in English that is why I will make a lot of mistakes. However, I do my best because I promised my kind teacher to do this.

Let's get started🌻

Why did I go to Cebu?🇵🇭

I went to Cebu to study English. The reason why I study English is because I have friends who I want to talk with more in English. In addition, I believe that English expands my possibilities.

I chose Cebu because I thought Filipinos are kind and friendly. They are kinder and friendlier than I expected. Thanks to them, I learned the joy of English. Since I want to communicate with them in English fluently someday, I will not stop studying📚

I am Japanese, but I am not shy.

"Japanese people are shy."
I think that Japanese people who study English abroad are not shy.
To be honest, I am not shy. All my Japanese friends will agree with it.
However, I sometimes hesitate to speak English and answer questions.
It is not because I am shy, but because I do not get used to expressing my opinions.
How can I answer the question when I have no idea?
Through the classes, I got used to having my opinions and learned the importance of it.
"I'm not shy. I'm just thinking."

No one is perfect.

I am Japanese, but my Japanese is not perfect.
Therefore, it is difficult for me to speak English without making mistakes.
However, I was afraid of speaking English.
Then, my teacher told me that I should speak more and not be afraid of making mistakes.
Thanks to her, I have become motivated to express my thoughts even with my limited English.
I think her English is very good, although she is still studying English for her goals. I realized that learning English is an endless jorney.
I am a beginner, so it is okay to make a lot of mistakes.
Mistakes are my teachers.
I learn English not because I want to be perfect, but because I want to talk with you more🍀

Take risks or regret?

One of the wonderful teachers taught me the phrase"Take risks or regret".
We do not know when our lives will end or what will happen tomorrow.
Therefore, I should do what I want to do today.
I should say "I like you" to people who I really like today.
Trying something new is not easy because it means taking risks.
However, I learned the importance of taking risks.
This was the fisrt time to go abroad alone and I am taking one year off from my university now.
I did not follow the crowd.
Since I took risks, I was able to meet wonderful teachers and friends and make memories.
I do not regret my decisions.
If today were your last day, what would you do?
I want to make you smile🌻

This experience has made my life wonderful.

If I had not been interested in English, I would not have met wonderful people in the Philippines. Through this experience, the number of people I want to make smile and see again, as well as the places I want to revisit, has increased.
My future goal is to make the people around me smile and be happy. To achieve this, I am working on improving myself.
If I see you again, I want to make you smile😊

I am grateful to the people who made my time in the Philippines so enjoyable.
See you again. I miss you all🫶

I will forget you when pigs fly🐽

Thank you for reading this note.
I hope you have a day filled with smiles today🌈
