［英語日記］　ドロフィーズキャンパス

「ドロフィーズキャンパス」に行った。ドロフィーズキャンパスは、雑貨屋さんや、カフェ、レストランなどが集合した施設だ。北欧をテーマとしていて、牧歌的な雰囲気が漂っていた。小道に沿って点々と立ち並ぶお店に自由気ままに入ることができるので、のんびり過ごしたい休日にはもってこいの場所だった。この施設で人気なのは、「ドロフィーズカフェ」だろう、私が行った日も９０分ほど待ち時間があった。私は結局「ノルディックデリ」というカフェに行き、マロンのパウンドケーキを食べながらゆっくりと過ごした。訳もなく道に落ちている小石を拾ってお母さんに届ける子供を眺めながら飲むコーヒーは美味しかった。

I visited "Dlofre's campus". It is facility that general stores, coffees, and restaurants are gathered around. Their theme is "Northern Europe", and have idyllic atmosphere there. It is good place to spend relaxing holiday as you can enter the stores located along with a path without hesitation. The popular place there might be "Dlofre's coffee", I found the waiting time was 90 minutes at that time. I ended up with going to a coffee called "Nordic deli", and taking a slow moment with having a marron pound cake. I felt the coffee more tasty than usual as staring a kid picking up a stone on the road without nothing.

・雑貨屋はmiscellaneous goods storeでいいのだろうか、なんとなく私のイメージする雑貨屋を表していない気がする。Nordic goods storeのように、もう少し具体化すればいいかも。
・pastoralが牧歌的な、という意味なのか。
・Along the pathways,　から文章を始めてもいいんだね。
・leisurelyはのんびりした、みたいな表現をしたいときに一番伝わりそう
・I opted for ~ は、goとかgetとかとは別の表現をしたいときに使えるね
・marron はフランス語か、英語圏では使わないのかな。
・Sipping coffeeはDrink coffeeよりも雰囲気があるね
