ふんどしってファンタジー
今まで度々口にしている言葉。
私に取ってふんどしはファンタジーでした。
伝統的な下着でありながら私の生活にはまるで関わりがなく、
遠い御伽の国のアイテムかの様な非現実的なもの。
大事なところを隠しつつ、むしろ強調させてしまう様な二律背反性。
ふんどし姿に感じる勇ましさやかっこよさや、
漂うあっけらかんとしたフェロモン。
この様な面白いアイテムをとことんファンタジーにしてみたらいいのでは？
そう思ったのがきっかけで〝ＦＵＮＤＯＳＨＩ ＦＡＮＴＡＳＹ〟 は生まれました。

FUNDOSHI is a fantasy
A word I've said many times before.
For me, FUNDOSHI were a fantasy.
It's traditional underwear, but it's never been a part of my life.
It is unrealistic, as if it were an item from a distant fairyland.
It's a dichotomy that both hides and accentuates what's important.
The bravery and coolness you feel in a FUNDOSHI
The pheromones in the air.
Why not try to make such an interesting item into a fantasy?
This thought led to the birth of “FUNDOSHI FANTASY”.

ストーリーをアップしようとは思ったことがありませんでした。
2017年に作った作品集が完成系だし、その時点で気が済んでしまっていたと言う感じで。
しかしここ最近noteに言葉を綴って自分の思考や作品について解体反芻する中で、
改めて皆様に読んでもらえる場所を作ってみようかと考えました。
noteという場所でなら載せて行けそうだと思いました。

というインパクトの強い要素を散りばめたアート作品ですが、ストーリーは割と真面目で悩める主人公だったり、世界の変革のテーマが入っていたりします。

今回久しぶりにストーリーを読み返しながら更新していったのですが(誤字脱字を訂正しつつ…)、
自分でも驚いたのが2017年の時点で既に“観測者”というワードを書いておりました。
今取り組んでいるアート作品
“まじないのハコ”というシリーズで
観測について深く考えるようになったUGYAUなのですが、FUNDOSHI FANTASYの中にその片鱗があったらしい…。
観測の話についてはこちらにありますのでもしご興味あれば。(すみません。英訳出来てません)
