Abstract
The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and CEO Steve Simon published the possibility of halting tournaments in China, if the Chinese government doesn't follow through with their requests regarding Peng Shuai, a Grand Slam doubles champion.
Peng Shuai disappeared from public view after raising allegations about she have a sexual assault by former vice premier in a social media post.
What are your thoughts on the suspension of WTA tournaments in China?
I agree with the cope due to the WTA against China and I am sure that the government should certify the safety of Peng Shuai. We mustn’t ignore the problem.
China has recently achieved remarkable economic growth and their influence is getting big in the world. That’s why we have to appeal that the government should respect human rights.
Also, I don't want to become a person who doesn't care about the people who are not related to me. So, I strongly support WTA's statement.
