As Elephant Money has grown in popularity, our community has been the target of thieves and scammers. Metamask and popular mobile wallets alone aren’t enough to protect newcomers to the space given that most sacrifice security to ease the overall user experience for DeFi and Dapps alike. However Elephant Money is not just any DeFi project, Elephant Money is a community bank. Each member of the HERD must practice exceptional OPSEC (operational security) to protect what is becoming the largest position in their crypto portfolio. To that end, the user experience presented by the core Elephant Money dApp hosted at https://elephant.money must implement a security-first approach that enables the most secure way to protect private keys and also approve transactions. To that end, we have taken several measures to improve wallet integration across mobile, desktop, and cold wallets. These measures are as follows:
