Today, I attended the JICA Networking Fair in Autumn 2024, held in Sannomiya, Hyogo Prefecture.

At the JETRO Kobe booth, I saw this interesting notice, and I thought this event would be great not only for international students in Japan but also for people studying Japanese overseas.


So, I spoke with a representative from JETRO.
According to that person,
・The event is held three times a year.
・People from overseas can also participate, and the second session is designed for those whose Japanese skills are still developing.
・Next week, over 100 companies will participate in the orientation session.

When I searched online for "ジェトロオンライン合同企業説明会" I found the following two pages:

Looking at the list of participating companies, I noticed that many of them are small to medium-sized businesses.
In fact, 99.7% of companies in Japan are SMEs.
Even though they may be small, some hold significant shares in niche global markets or possess outstanding technologies.
I’ve even heard from former international students that working at an SME gives you the opportunity to learn a lot, as you’re often entrusted with various responsibilities.
I highly recommend tuning in to the live or archived streaming sessions!

今日は兵庫県の三宮で開催されたJICA Networking Fair in Autumn 2024に参加してきました。

ジェトロ神戸のブースでこんな掲示があったので、これは日本にいる留学生さんだけではなく、海外で日本語を勉強している人にもいいイベントだと思いジェトロの方に少し話を聞きました。



ジェトロ神戸の方によると、
・一年に３回行われるそうです。
・海外からも参加可能で、２回目は日本語があまりうまくない人向けだそうです。
・来週行われる説明会への参加企業の数は100を超えます。


ネットで「ジェトロオンライン合同企業説明会」で検索してみたら、次の2つのページがでてきました。

参加企業リストをみると中小企業が多いです。
日本は99.7%が中小企業です。　規模は小さくてもニッチなマーケットでは世界的に大きなシェアを持っていたり、すごい技術を持っている企業もあります。
また、中小企業だといろいろなことを任せてもらえることが多くて勉強になると言っていた元留学生もいました。
