日記55 : Conversation in Cafes
I like going to a cafe and spending my time with a cup of coffee while relaxing. But sometimes conversations from people sitting next to me forcibly distract me.
Today, two teenage girls were at the next table, talking about fashion. They sounded like they were having fun, but when one girl talked about her favorite style, the other one said, “BUT only people with cute faces can wear clothes like this.” The first girl’s face became awkward after hearing that, and she said, “Really? I’m not sure, but I think it’s fine for people who are not so super cute…” But the other girl strongly said again, “No, it’s not. No way.” After this conversation, the girl who was told so became gloomy and quiet.
I don’t know why the other one said that to her, but I feel sorry for the girl who was told that. There are many types of clothing that people are only interested in when they are young, so I want them to enjoy wearing the clothes they like.
