Impressions from participating in the send-off party for トビタテ留学JAPAN 16期生 (July 21st, 2024)

Hello ! This is Eisuke, from Japan still.
I’m going to study abroad in US from August.
I attended the send-off party for the 16th batch of Tobitate Study Abroad Japan students, so I'd like to share what it was like!

[Part 1] 12:00 - 13:15 Ceremony (3rd floor auditorium)

•A speech by Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Mr. Masahito Moriyama

•A speech by NTT Chairman Mr. Jun Sawada

•A speech by KDDI representative (I don’t remember)

[Part 2] 13:30 - 14:40 Exchange party for exchange students (1st floor cafeteria)

We were placed by study abroad region and introduce each other. After that, an exchange party including Business people.

And then, there were chances to assemble same study abroad theme like calling out, for example, student who major in education and change the world to shift compulsory education.

[Part 3] 15:00 - 17:00  Orientation for exchange students (3rd floor auditorium)

This time is revised by exchanging our study abroad plans and dreams. We must speak out honestly. In there, we have one or two business persons but also Tobitate Graduates.

In my group, there were JT cop., CPA cop., Waseda academy cop.

This group is divided by the Tobitate center to assemble same study abroad theme.

In my case, I took part in Sustainability group and International development group.

Overall, I was able to improve the resolution of my study abroad plans, I could talk about each other plans not only exchange study abroad, but also internship only. And, I could connect my city’s tobitate clerk.

Near Ministry of education, we participated dinner to drink and eat randomly
