Storytelling with illustration 01 (Day 09)
It is believed that the more one reads, the better writer they become. Not only that, if you want to write well, you also need to read the right way.
One tip to read the right way is to read with a purpose.
With that been said, this morning I decided to browse several posts on the note.com to get my writing inspiration, then one caught my eyes:
I love the idea that the author uses simple illustrations to explain complicated knowledge.
I think why not try to analyze the storytelling style of the author? As 50% of my daily work includes communication of UX design, it will without doubt benefit me.
Tip1 - Big title & monocolour
Many of the posts start with a simple cover. That is the first touchpoint for readers to decide if they wanna click it or skip it. Like this one:
Of course, there is more than one cover style, and I put them together to compare. Not surprisingly, the simple ones stand out right away.
If you check more of post covers from the author, you will notice this kind of simple style started to dominate later.
Okay, I will share more tomorrow, as I need to start my work now ;D
