A day of no schedule (Day 19)

It is Saturday again, at 10 am.

Lying on my bed, hiding my face under the fur blanket, actually, I was supposed to wake up at 9 am and give a Japanese lesson to my cousin.

Following that, at 11 am it should be one-hour language exchange practice online with a Japanese lady.

My typical weekend, full of learning activities.

About 6 hours ago, I sent messages to both my cousin and the Japanese lady to say sorry.

" Hi, can I cancel the practice? I am not feeling well. "

" Are you okay? Do you catch a cold? "

The lady replied to me right away at 1:30 am, much to my surprise. Hoped that I did not wake her up...

" Please let me know if there is anything I can help. " she followed with a warm offer.

Such a kind person she is, knowing that I am living in Tokyo alone as a foreigner.

I was really touched.

I decided to clear all schedule because I was burned out. How funny that it was, for the first time this year, totally blank on my Google calendar on Saturday.

Have you ever heard about OKR

OKR is the abbreviation of 'objectives and key results'. It is a team management strategy for creating high performance in each employee.

Many famous companies, like Google and Intell, are using OKR strategy.

Why do I mention it? Because that is how I feel about my life.

Again and again, I set high goals and try to reach them. Just like this 300-word daily writing challenge that I am writing now.

Before I thought I was a brave person who always pushes limits and never says no to challenges.

However, it is just because I never feel that I am good enough.

If I stop learning, then more and more people will become better than me, I will be of no value. It is too complicated to figure out what made me like this, be it my education, family, work, books, SNS....anyways.

Okay, I wrote 336 words, no nice cover, no key points, no tips to share in this article, but you know what,

 I do not care.
