【1. 寝ながら起きていたい】
姉：Tell me about it.
（どういうことよ。）

弟：There are so many things I want to do, but there are time and energy constraints.
（あまりにやりたいことが多すぎて、起きている時間だけだと時間とエネルギーが足りないんだよ。）
Can’t I sleep and stay awake at the same time, like Naruto?
（ナルトみたいに影分身して、寝るのと起きるのを同時にすることはできないのかな？）

姉：Are you from a ninja family?
（あんた忍者の家系だったっけ？）

弟：No.
（いや。）

姉：You have to play with the cards you’re dealt with.
（まあ、切られたカードでプレーするしかないよ。）
Sleep well, and be aware of your concentration spans.
（しっかり寝て、自分の集中力が続く時間を意識して活動しな。）

【2. Shabon bubble flies away】
姉：What do you mean…?
（どういうことだってばよ・・・？）

弟：Recently I wanted to do something I did as a child, then I went to Donquihote and bought a bubble gun.
（最近、子供の頃にやりたいことがやりたくなって、ドンキホーテでシャボン玉銃を買ったんだよ。）

姉：Where did you play?
（どこで遊んだの？）

弟：In my room.
（部屋でやったよ。）

姉：A-ha.
（ははあ。）

弟：So whenever we feel sad growing up, perhaps we can come back to these kinds of activities we did as children. Doing so, I felt so satisfied.
（だから大きくなって悲しくなったら、子供の時を振り返って当時好きだったことをやればいいと思うんだよね。そうすることで、俺はすごく満足した。）
There should be more bubbles flying throughout Japan. Adults need bubbles.
（日本にはもっとシャボン玉が飛んでいるべきだと思う。大人にはシャボン玉が必要だ。）

姉: I’m glad you found a way to relieve your stress.
（ストレス発散方法が見つかってよかったね。）
But I think that’s an adult thing. You know, buying bubble guns when you want and playing with them in your room.
（でも、大人がやることな気がするな。ほら、欲しい時にシャボン玉銃を買って、部屋の中で遊ぶとかさ。）

弟：You got a point there.
（確かにね。）

【3. 現環境で最高ランクであるゴールド免許を取得した新米最高ランカーが語る】
姉: Good for you!
（やったね！）

弟：Obtaining the gold driver’s license doesn’t mean I can do anything. I paid less for the license renewal, and the lecture took less time. Moreover, the driver’s insurance costs less.
（）

姉：Was this your first gold license?
（初めてのゴールドだった？）

弟: Yes. I want to say that having the highest rank doesn’t mean I can do anything.

It means there are higher standards to meet, and more things to do.
When I tell people I speak and teach English, it doesn’t mean I can do anything in English.
It means I can keep on with the long journey.

姉：I’m proud of you.
（誇らしいよ。）

【4. この頃言葉で説明できないことが多く巻き起こっている】
弟: After you suggested a song to dance to and I did so, now I have constant inspiration.
（君が踊ってみたらって曲を勧めてくれて踊った後から、常にインスピレーションが浮かぶんだ。）
I think I found something I can commit to for the first time. I say first time because this is not dependent on anybody else.
Why am I so committed? I can’t verbalize it.
（初めて、自分からコミットできるものに出会えた気がするんだ。初めてっていうのは、他の誰のことも考えずにできているんだ。なんでこんなにコミットできているのか？それが言語化できない。）

姉: If you feel you can commit to it, I think that’s more than enough.
（その思いがあるなら、それで十分だと思うよ。）

弟: Yup. I’m not monetizing these activities. Financially, this may be negative, but I feel human, I feel alive.
I don’t know why, but I’m driven to do these activities.
（そうだね。こういう活動でお金を稼ごうとはしていないんだ。金銭的にはネガティブかもしれないけど、人間って感じ、生きてるって感じがする。なんでか分からないけど、こういう活動がしたいって突き動かされているんだ。）

姉: That’s great.
（やったじゃん。）

【今回の結論】
・やりたいことはいっぱいあるけど、時間と体力に限りはあるね。
