Analog Society

The forestry and lumber industry is generally perceived as quite analog, just as many people imagine. Despite being in the age of the internet, it remains an industry where human connections hold significant value. Furthermore, it operates very much like a closed community, where not knowing the right people can result in being charged higher prices. However, once you manage to get inside, there is a high likelihood that you will be recognized as part of the group.
This applies even when introducing machinery. If you try to purchase equipment online, a new one can cost close to 10 million yen. However, if you have the right connections, you may find options to acquire a used one for under 1 million yen. In today's world, human relationships are often spoken of negatively. However, there is no doubt that they come with certain benefits. This is especially true in industries with a strong sense of community. It once again makes me realize that building relationships means making full use of the people around you while also being used in return.

Bye!
