Enjoyable Hardship

This weekend, I took part in the setup, security on the day of, and the dismantling afterwards for the 'Suitokurawanka Fireworks Festival.' This was the third time, but these three days were truly tough. On the day, we were busy with cleanup until 2 a.m. The next day, many people also worked a full day for the dismantling.
The organizing group, which is consist of volunteers, gives the impression of working even harder than in their regular jobs. Of course, some people live in Hirakata, but like myself, there are also people who live in other prefectures. I think their dedication is truly admirable.
Personally, I think there is an environment where you can work comfortably. Although the work is tough, I felt that everyone was seriously enjoying it. It’s a large-scale event with a budget close to 100 million yen. Even though it’s volunteer work, it shouldn’t be considered for fun. I strongly believe that the reason this event has reached its third time is because of the pleasant time we are able to spend in such a working environment.
