My New Computer Broken
It was last January that I bought CF-QV1, which has been broken.
It is so useful that I have been using it every day for writing reports, gathering information, reading papers and articles, watching videos, and more. However, due to my dropping my bag where the computer was put, its monitor no longer displays what makes sense.
Panasonic's website says the rate of its computer breaking within a year is less than five percent, to which I unfortunately belong.
It seems that the touch panel works. The stylus pen seems to be recognized.
If the computer had completely broken, I would ask the official support to fix it, but in this case, only a screen is a problem.
If the screen are to be replaced, it would cost me no less than 70,000 yen and would take several weeks. I do not want to spend such a large amount of money for only the screen or like waiting for such a long time… I'm wondering whether to fix it.
I have another choise -- repaire shops that is located in Akihabara or anywhere in Japan, which is unofficial. While relying on such shops sometimes results in wasting money and time, their work is fast, and in most case cheaper than the official. It would be a good choice.
Still, it is CF-NX3, the laptop computer I used before perchasing QV1, that makes me wondering whether to have the latest laptop repaired. In fact, NX3 is still working, though its support for Windows 11 is no longer available due to the lack of TPM2.0, for I seldom need the work due to which the computer is under heavy load, which would be done by my desktop computer located in my room. Laptops are, for me, tools to be used outside, where I cannot do much because I cannot concentrate on it there.
It is no doubt that QV1 is useful, but it may not be undispensable for me…
What is more, when it comes to the battery, NX3 is much better than QV1.
One thing with which NX3 cannot achieve is to read papers.
Since my IQ is as low as chimpanzees, it is impossible to read any papers without underlining, marking and writing memos on the paper being read. However, in most cases, I print out it. It is only in case where I forgot to print it out but in urgent need of it that I use the function.
For these reasons, I am wondering whether to have QV1 repaired.
If it is sunny tomorrow when I get up and I feel like going out, I will go to the shop near my house.
