Day 97 :Acquiring-countries game

In 15th to 16th centuries, Japan was divided into many samurai countries (or I would say, kind of states...), even though the Emperor was there. And finally, Ieyasu Tokugawa became a Shogun and this Tokugawa Shogunate brought peace in Japan and the country thrived until its starting Westernization in 19th century.

Before Tokugawa became a Shugun, the samurais fought each other to snatch other countries in side of Japan.
That is called "Sengoku Period". This era is so interesting to most of Japanese that there are many kind of "Acquiring-countries games", such as card games, TV games, and smart-phone apps today.

There's this good app. You are like a samurai to acquire countries, so when you visit any towns or villages in Japan, you could check your app, meaning you acquire that town or village.

chechokopan has been trying to acquire all the counties, or visit all the towns and villages in Japan!

She is actually a chocolate-expert, so I hope she could find some small local chocolate places that are not really known.

Word of the day:

Quote of the day:
“Summer grasses,
All that remains
Of soldiers' dreams”
― Bashō
