Day 55: Pudding Everyday
Pudding, in Japan, is a sweet and creamy dessert which almost everybody likes, from the kids to the old people.
So I thought that pudding in every country is all sweet and soft.
But I checked out Wikipedia and found that there are very different types of puddings all over the world.
This is the typical western style dessert type pudding.
This Brazilian pudding looks pretty similar to the one in Japan
This is a little different, as doesn't look soft but looks sweet...
According to Wikipedia, there are two main types, Savory and Dessert puddings.
I'm not familiar with savory puddings.
Wikipedia says;
The modern usage of the word pudding to denote primarily desserts has evolved over time from the almost exclusive use of the term to describe savory dishes, specifically those created using a process similar to sausages where meat and other ingredients in a mostly liquid form are encased and then steamed or boiled to set the contents.
Hmmm, the original pudding is savory one.
Here's the typical one, Haggis!
I tried Haggis before, but this one above is not the one I had before, so next time, I need to try this!
This is another savory..., looks good..., probably good with some beer..
Should be good with Wines...
Ooops, I did not mean to go into details of savory puddings!
I would like to share a member of our communities, Yoko Fukaya, having pudding in Japan everyday, of course the sweet and creamy-soft ones!
Here's one example!
Damn, looks too good!!
Check her note for the other great puddings!
Having pudding everyday seems to make you sweeter, I believe.
Word of the day:
Savory: いい味[香り・匂い・風味]のする、〔料理の味が〕ピリッとした
Quote of the day:
I think when people have pudding and jobs, they vote for you.
