Day 245: Firefly squid

Hotaruika, or firefly squid, is probably eaten only in Japan.

We eat usually the freshly boiled ones, as the sashimi is said to have vermins.
I believe the boiled ones could match with many types of cookings.
By the way, this is also the food announcing that Spring has come.
