Day 198 : Housing issues with NIMBYS and YIMBYS

As I read an article "he horrible housing blunder - Home ownership is the West’s biggest economic-policy mistake", I found two interesting things from my own perspectives.

One, it is actually praising Japanese hosing policy, or more strictly speaking housing policy for Tokyo, referring that "Tokyo has no property shortage; between 2013 and 2017 it put up 728,000 dwellings—more than England did—without destroying quality of life".
That is a good news! But we also ask, how has been our "quality of life" compared with those big cities in the world?

Second, NIMBYS, not-in-my-backyard people are everywhere, who say ok to anything outside of their own areas.
But, YIMBYS, yes-in-my-backyard people are fledgling but increasing in big cities, that is also a very good news and hope for our societies.
We should have broad minds for a better society as a whole....
