Situation in Ukraine
It has been 799 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First,
a general matter.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Russian losses were 1030 soldiers
20 tanks
29 armored fighting vehicles
20 artillery guns
4 air defense systems
23 drones
57 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 122 ground battles in one day.
Losses continue to be high due to the Russian offensive in the land battles.
The Russians are also moving units across the theater of operations,
and there are indications that the elite 7th and 76th Airborne Divisions that were near Robotyne may be moving to the Eastern Front. There are observations that the elite 7th and 76th Airborne Divisions,
which were near Lobotnoye,
are moving to the Eastern Front.
And the ratio of the number of equipment losses on the Ukrainian side,
which can be visually confirmed,
to the number of losses on the Russian side is 1 to 1.7.
Losses on the Russian side are dominated by infantry fighting vehicles and tanks; conversely,
armored fighting vehicles are prominent on the Ukrainian side.
This is a brief news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where you need to.
1st.
In Ryazan,
500 km from the Ukrainian border,
an explosion caused by a Ukrainian drone strike was observed at a Rosneft refinery and a fire broke out at the refinery.
Meanwhile,
the Russian Defense Ministry announced that it shot down three UAVs in Voronezh,
one in Ryazan,
and two in other regions,
and video footage shows a line of light that appears to be an anti-aircraft gun,
as well as a large flash.
According to reports,
the Ryazan refinery has the capacity to refine 17 million tons of oil annually,
which is said to account for 5% of Russia's oil refining capacity.
The refinery was also hit by a drone attack on March 13 this year,
resulting in an explosion and fire.
There are reports that a drone attack also occurred at the Voronezh refinery on the same day.
2nd.
Stupak,
a military expert who served in the Ukrainian Security Service until 2015,
appeared in Russian-language media and stated that ga few weeks ago,
U.S. officials asked Ukraine not to attack oil facilities,
which they have now rescinded.h
With this,
he explained,
gUkraine has nothing to stop Russia from attacking our oil facilities.h
Third.
The Lipetsk Zoo in Russia presented two peacocks,
one male and one female,
to the 252nd Automated Rifle Regiment of the Russian Army,
which is fighting on the front lines.
According to the zoo,
gThe beauty of the birds provides inspiration and solace to soldiers in difficult situations. This is not an advertisement for the Zoo,
but a gift from our hearts,
and we hope that the beauty of the birds will brighten the battleh.
4th.
Spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force,
Evrash,
speaking about the F-16s at a press conference,
said that git will be after Easterh and that gwe will officially inform the public when they arrive,h suggesting that their arrival is imminent.
Easter in Ukraine,
by the way,
is May 5.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date on the large full screen display.
Northeast: Luhansk Oblast
Eastern Bakhmut
This section reports on the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line,
from the area around Siversk to the area of Bakhmut.
In this area,
the Russians attacked 6 times around Berestove,
21 times along the Svatove-Kreminna line,
and 33 times around Sibersk and in the direction of Bakhmut.
Kupyansk Area
There was no information on this area that could affect the battle map,
but according to the video with location information,
there were 4 ATACMS attacks on the training area of Mozhenyakivka in Luhansk,
and 116 Russian soldiers were called to hell.
What we are showing you is from the Ukrainian side,
and the location is shown on the map.
The missiles were cluster bombs,
and this location is 80 km behind the front line,
out of range of previous HIMARS,
but with the introduction of ATACMS,
there is no longer any place to hide.
Svatove-Kreminna line
Around Siversk
Southwest of Spirne,
positional video footage shows Ukrainian forces attacking Russian positions,
winning a battle of positions and recapturing some areas.
The Russian forces were found to be projecting hot-air bombs into the captured positions.
The battle map has been updated to show this location as recaptured by Ukrainian forces from Russian-occupied territory.
Other than that,
the Russian attack was repulsed by Ukrainian forces and there was no other information that changed the battle map.
ChasivYar sector
Russian forces in this sector are conducting preparatory operations for the raid.
The 7th and 76th Airborne Divisions,
which we first reported on,
may be deployed in this area,
and the attack operation is expected to take place within a few days.
1st.
In Kanal,
there is no further news on the counterattack by Ukrainian forces that we reported yesterday,
and Russian forces have destroyed buildings in Kanal with air strikes and more than 10 artillery shells,
preparing for a raid.
They have also launched about 10 incendiary bombs into the settlements of Novi and Zohtnevi behind it to check the Ukrainian army's movement.
The map shown is from the Russian side,
near the locations indicated on the map.
The battle map remains unchanged.
2nd.
North of Klishchiivka,
Russian tanks advanced in columns and attacked,
but this attack was repulsed by Ukrainian troops.
The image shown is from the 17th Independent Tank Brigade of the Ukrainian Army and shows the location shown on the map.
In this attack,
there are no infantry fighting vehicles in sight,
so it seems that the attack was hoping for tanks to be able to break through.
There is no change in the battle map here either.
There is no other information that would affect the battle map,
and the movement of the Russians seems to indicate that the attack was a frontal assault on Canal,
but it may just be pretending to be so.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast
Weather in Avdiivka is sunny
The minimum temperature is 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 24 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for today is also cloudy.
Sunny days are expected to continue for the next few days.
The following is an update on the situation in Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka area
The Russians made 33 attacks in this area. As we reported yesterday,
the speed of the Russian advance in this sector has slowed down and the offensive has stalled due to the Ukrainian army's positions.
Meanwhile,
Ukrainian forces are attacking Russian troops moving from Avdiivka with drones and artillery fire,
reducing their strength by the time they reach the front line.
The distance from Avdiivka to the front line in Ocheretiyne is 10 kilometers,
allowing the Ukrainian forces enough time to attack and make good their gains.
1st.
The civilian movement has begun in Arkhangelske.
Shown is the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs,
with elderly people being evacuated in armored vehicles.
2nd.
On the western outskirts of Ocheretine,
Russian troops are being blocked by Ukrainian military defenses and are moving to the north,
where the fields are spread out to go around Novo Oleksandrivka,
where they originally wanted to go.
We have updated the battle map of the area from Ukrainian-controlled to Russian-occupied territory.
3rd.
According to the positional video,
the Russians attacked from Soloviove,
splitting into west and southwest directions,
advancing slightly.
In the western of these directions,
the Russians attempted to break through in the direction of Sokil,
but the Russian vehicles were repulsed at the location indicated on the map.
Considering the fact that they came in with one vehicle,
it is assumed that they are entering the area as a reconnaissance to observe the situation of the Ukrainian army.
4th.
Also in the same direction southwest of Soloviove,
vehicles with infantry attempted to break through,
and infantry deployed at the location shown on the map,
resulting in a ground battle.
What I am showing you is the axis of attack in the southwestern direction,
at the location indicated on the map.
Unfortunately,
we cannot show you this on video,
so we will post the video on the Telegram.
We have updated the battle map of the area as partially occupied by Russian forces from the area controlled and disputed by the Ukrainian army.
For Marinka
Vuhledar Area
The Russians made 18 attacks in this area.
1st.
In Paraskovyivka,
west of Novomirivka,
the Russians insisted on occupying the settlement,
but this was most likely propaganda to demoralize the Ukrainian army and did not change the battle map.
Similarly,
in Vuhledar,
the Russians are waging an information warfare campaign by scattering leaflets from the air.
Second.
In Urozyan,
the Russians conducted three air strikes,
followed by an attack from the south,
resulting in a ground battle.
The image shown is part of the Russian 5th Tank Brigade,
heading for the factory shown on the map,
firing with tank guns,
and then returning.
The battle map remains unchanged.
Southern Province of Zaporizhia
South,
Province of Kherson.
In this sector,
the Russians made five attacks in Stalomaiorsk and Robotyne,
and two in Krinky,
but there was no information that could affect the battle map.
On the island of Nestorikha,
occupied by Ukrainian forces the day before yesterday in a video,
the Russian counterattack failed as Ukrainian forces defended the island.
More
Today,
please watch the video all the way to the end to see ChasivYar,
where tensions are rising as a general attack by the Russian army is believed to be imminent.
ChasivYar was a town of 12,250 inhabitants before the invasion,
and its main industry was the manufacture of firebricks,
but even today,
after being fortified,
800 residents remain,
living a subsistence lifestyle on their fields.
Russian and Ukrainian troops fight in these places.
That's all for today.
Thank you for watching.
