Situation in Ukraine
It's been 667 days since Russia invaded Kyiv,
so let's start with general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the losses of Russian troops are,
1080 soldiers
9 tanks
18 armored fighting vehicles
24 artillery pieces
23 drones
34 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 99 ground battles in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 3.8 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
The Russian side has suffered heavy losses of infantry fighting vehicles,
artillery,
and tanks,
while the Ukrainian side has suffered heavy losses of infantry fighting vehicles and naval vessels.
Here is a brief news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch where necessary.
1st.
In a video address,
President Zelensky said that "Russian military plans and activities are slowing down,
" noting that the Russian military offensive may be slowing down.
Although the Russian military offensive is gaining momentum on the front lines,
President Zelensky said that a report from the Ukrainian Military Intelligence Agency states that "the enemy's plans and industry are showing a slowdown and we will proceed with that slowdown,
" and although he did not provide details,
he said that Russia is experiencing extreme worker shortages,
wage increases over inflation,
and other factors that may indicate a long-term decline in Russian military activity.
Second.
The Washington Post reported a U.S.
official as saying,
"Japan will put together a policy change this week to export Patriot missiles to the United States,
" indicating expectations of Japanese involvement in filling the gap for missiles provided to Ukraine.
Japan has been producing Patriot missiles under license and "is expected to announce on Friday that it will send dozens of Patriot missiles to the United States,
" Biden told Kishida at the August summit between the leaders of the United States,
Japan,
and South Korea.
The article also touched on Japan's arms export policy,
noting that U.S.
officials "have had difficulty in providing artillery shells,
but there is room for the export of Patriot missiles for defense purposes.
Third.
The New York Times reported that U.S.
and European officials "have begun emergency talks on using $300 billion (45 trillion yen) in frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine."
There have been instances of Canada providing Ukraine with aircraft confiscated from Russia,
although this would reduce the financial support of Western countries,
However,
the article also points out that there is no law that makes it possible to confiscate such a large amount of money,
and it is unclear how Russia will retaliate.
Now,
here is the war situation in each region.
We will tell you where the war situation is changing.
Northeast: Luhansk region
Eastern part,
toward Bakhmut
We will report on the war situation on the Svatove-Kreminna line from Halkiu and Kupyansk,
and from Sibersk to the area around Bakhmut.
In this sector,
the Russians attacked 16 times in Shinkivka,
13 times in and around the Serebryanskiy Forest,
and 7 times in Bakhmut.
Although there was no information that would affect the picture in this area,
Ukrainian military spokesman Ficho reported that the Russians lost 9 tanks and 19 armored fighting vehicles in one day from Kupyansk to Kremlinna.
Also in Klishchiivka,
Tarasenko,
deputy commander of the Ukrainian Army's 5th Assault Brigade,
stated that "the Russian offensive is in a slight lull,
but the Russians are trying to slip through the Ukrainian army with small units of two to four men,
" indicating that the Russian army is accumulating troops while continuing a small offensive.
The Russian military is continuing its small-scale offensive,
but may be building up its forces.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
Weather in Avdiivka is cloudy.
Minimum temperature 4‹C,
maximum 8‹C
Today's weather forecast is cloudy and rainy.
Temperatures will drop below freezing,
but it will take longer for the ground to freeze,
still in late January and February.
White House Coordinator Kirby noted that once the ground freezes,
"it will be easier for the Russian military to conduct offensive operations."
Here is an update on the situation in the Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Vuhledar areas.
Avdiivka area
Russian troops have made 36 attacks in this sector,
but Ukrainian troops are defending the sector and blocking the Russian advance.
Spokesman of the 47th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area Razutkin said,
"In this area we are defending with the mobility of the Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and the offensive power of their main guns.
1st.
North of Krasnohorivka,
Russian troops advanced on the railroad tracks,
according to the located video.
The one shown is from the 31st Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army,
The area is shown as filmed from the north.
The area has been updated on the battle map from disputed territory to Russian-occupied territory.
The area is about 0.2 square kilometers.
2nd.
In Stepove,
unconfirmed reports indicate that the Russians attacked north of the town in a westerly direction,
forcing the Ukrainian troops to retreat and advance.
Since Stepove is well defended,
the Russians may have aimed at Berdych from the northern outskirts.
We have updated the battle map to include that area as disputed territory.
We will update the war situation map if we can confirm this in the future.
In the other axes of attack,
the factories south of Avdiivka,
Severne,
and Pervomaiske,
the Russians attacked in waves,
using both infantry and vehicles,
but the Ukrainians also defended,
leaving the battlefield map unchanged.
Marinka area
In this area,
the Russians made 10 attacks.
1st.
At Novomihailivka,
there was a close battle between tanks,
According to the positional video,
the Russians repulsed a Ukrainian T64 advancing toward the cemetery,
north of the location shown on the battle map,
while the Ukrainians repulsed a Ukrainian T80 advancing toward the city center,
Conversely,
Ukrainian troops repelled two Russian T80s advancing toward the urban area.
What we are showing you is a shot of the location from the east,
showing tanks from both armies.
We have updated the battle map with the disputed area near where the tanks are located as the cemetery was occupied by the Russians.
2nd.
Also,
at the factory to the west of the cemetery,
unconfirmed information indicates that Ukrainian troops have advanced into the factory on the battle map and have recaptured this location.
We will update the battlefield map when we receive confirmation.
South,
Zaporizhia Province.
In this sector,
both sides are attacking,
with six reports of ground battles,
mainly around Robotyne,
and both sides are fighting in positions,
but there is no information affecting the battlefield map.
There are reports of a slight advance by Ukrainian forces west of Robotyne,
which we will update the battle map when we have confirmation.
Rear Areas
Today there were unexplained explosions in Tokmak and Mariupol,
and according to the Russian Defense Ministry,
air defenses were activated on the Crimean Bridge,
the Russian Defense Ministry claims to have shot down one missile,
and the Crimean Bridge is closed to traffic.
South,
province of Kherson.
In this direction,
Krynky's Russian forces launched 30 attacks,
with no information affecting the battle map.
Other.
The Ukrainian Anti-Disinformation Center claimed that Russia is carrying out the following propaganda through the Ukrainian language
Russia creates a Telegram channel,
which at first attracts viewers with interesting and informative information,
The West will not support Ukraine.
Cracks are appearing in Ukraine's political and military leadership.
Ukraine's corrupt leadership is lining its own pockets.
Running away from mobilization is a good thing.
Ukraine is doomed to defeat.
I told them that they are making the Ukrainian people believe false information by writing such things as "Ukraine is doomed to defeat.
Come to think of it,
some of the posts on this channel may be similar.
Extra.
Please watch the video to the end of today's video for a view of the outskirts of Novomihailivka and Marinka,
where fierce fighting continues.
Ukrainian and Russian troops are fighting in these places.
