Situation in Ukraine
It has been 866 days since Russia invaded Kyiv.
First of all,
general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the Russian losses were 1,200 soldiers
16 tanks
40 armored fighting vehicles
29 artillery guns
1 air defense system
1 aircraft
31 drones
1 cruise missile
55 other vehicles.
The entire front reported 123 ground battles in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of equipment losses on the Ukrainian side,
which can be visually confirmed,
to the number of losses on the Russian side is 1 to 2.6.
Losses on the Russian side are mostly Chinese-made golf carts and SUVs; conversely,
there is no particular trend on the Ukrainian side.
Now,
let us look at the war situation in each region.
I will focus on the areas where the war situation has changed.
You can follow the changes with the date if you use the full screen on the big screen.
Northeast,
toward Harkiv
This month's report focuses on the situation in the Halkiw area,
where the Russian military invaded across the border in May.
The Russians attacked nine times at Hlyboke,
Liptsi,
and Vovtyansk,
but were all repulsed by the Ukrainian army.
On the contrary,
Ukrainian troops attacked the headquarters of a Russian regiment in Belgorod with the ASSM hammer,
and there is information that the headquarters has been heavily destroyed,
while a recapture operation is underway in Hlyboke.
Liptsy sector
Ukrainian troops are counterattacking and advancing in this sector.
1st.
In Hlyboke,
the video with location data shows that the Russians are shelling residential areas south of the town,
and that the Ukrainians have recaptured half of the southern part of the town.
The image you see is from the 155th Marine Brigade of the Russian Army,
which is part of the area being shelled south of the town.
We have updated the battle map to show this area as retaken by Ukrainian forces from the disputed territory.
Second.
Unconfirmed Russian intelligence reports that Ukrainian forces have recaptured the factory by turning north of the town and conducting a two-axis recapture operation,
burning numerous pieces of Russian military equipment.
Additional unconfirmed reports also indicate that Russian forces are retreating along the river from northeast of the town.
In addition,
a video purportedly showing a tactical assessment of the Ukrainian army shows Russian troops destroying equipment one after another,
and confirms that they are making a tactical assessment,
saying "the enemy did everything wrong.
Based on the above,
we have updated the battle map of the factory from Russian-occupied to disputed territory.
We will update you with additional information as it becomes available.
In addition,
there was no information affecting the war situation in the Vovtyansk area.
Northeastern Luhansk Oblast
Eastern part,
in the direction of ChasivYar
The following is an update on the war situation in the area from Kupyansk to ChasivYar.
In this area,
the Russians attacked 6 times in the direction of Kupyansk,
19 times along the Svatove-Kreminna line,
4 times around Sivelsk,
9 times around ChasivYar,
and 11 times in the direction of Toretsk.
The ChasivYar area
In this area,
the Ukrainian army withdrew from Kanal,
and the Russian army occupied the area south of Kalinivka,
so the battle map has been updated to show the area occupied by the Russian army from the disputed territory.
The area is about 2 square kilometers.
Ukrainian military spokesman Voloshin appeared on Ukrainian television to answer questions about ChasivYar,
saying,
"The enemy is carrying out attacks in ChasivYar,
Ivanivske,
and Klishchiivka.
In ChasivYar,
they are shelling Novi heavily.
The enemy has neutralized 253 men in one day and destroyed five BMP infantry fighting vehicles,
one mortar,
four trenches,
and two ammunition depots," he said,
referring to the heavy losses suffered by the attacking Russian forces.
From now on,
the offensive and defense will be fought on the east and west sides of the canal.
Meanwhile,
the Russian attack on Kalinivka continues to be repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
and the area remains disputed.
No other information affecting the battle map was available from Kupyansk to the Sibersk area.
Toretsk area
In this area,
both sides are attacking.
1st.
No information affecting the battle map was found on the axis of attack along the railroad tracks in Mayorsk and Druzhba.
2nd.
On the other hand,
in the Russian salient from the Artemove high-rise residential area to Pivnichne,
the Russians attacked and advanced.
First,
the Russians fired five thermobaric bombs along the eastern side of the residential area to stabilize the bulge,
after which the infantry advanced to secure a portion of the area.
The battle map was updated to show the area as occupied by the Russians from the disputed area.
3rd.
Conversely,
Ukrainian troops are shelling the northern end of the high-rise apartment building with tank artillery,
blocking the advance of Russian troops.
The image you see is from the 32nd Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Army,
at the location shown on the map.
The battle map has been updated to show that the Russians had advanced about one block just prior to this.
3rd.
In Niuyoke,
the battle map remains unchanged,
but the Russians are expected to launch a future attack in this direction by throwing thermobaric bombs at the location shown on the map.
Southeast Donetsk Oblast.
The following is an update on the war situation in the direction of Avdiivka,
Marinka,
and Velikanovosilka.
The weather in Avdiivka,
which will affect the operation,
is sunny.
Lowest temperature is 22 degrees Celsius,
highest temperature is 34 degrees Celsius.
Thunderstorms are in the forecast for today,
with a change in the weather.
The location is unknown in this area,
but there is information that the 110th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down one Russian Su-25 attack aircraft.
The manner of the attack is unknown,
but the aircraft is reportedly on fire in the steppe of Donbass,
Ukraine.
Besides that,
there is information that the Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate GUR successfully attacked the Russian military's Jitel electronic warfare system and logistics center near Horlivka.
Avdiivka area.
In this area,
Russian forces made 41 attacks in various directions.
The following is a list of the 41 attacks made by the Russians in this area in various directions.
1st.
In Novo Oleksandrivka,
according to the video with location information,
Ukrainian troops bombed a building across from a school in the center of the settlement,
causing damage to Russian troops.
The image you are seeing is from the Ukrainian side and shows the location shown on the map.
Second.
West of Evhenivka,
positional video shows a Ukrainian Bradley infantry fighting vehicle and two M1A1 Abrams damaged by a Russian suicide drone attack,
with information that the Bradleys were abandoned.
Sweep operations from armored vehicles are effective against infantry assaults,
but armored vehicles are more vulnerable to drone attacks.
The image you are seeing is from the Russian side,
where Ukrainian soldiers are evacuating a vehicle that is emitting smoke at the location indicated on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show that the disputed area has expanded to the point where Bradley was abandoned.
3rd.
On the outskirts between Evhenivka and Novoselivka Persia,
multiple sources collectively indicate that the Russians have reached the main defensive line of the Bovcha River and have updated the battle map to show its extent as occupied by Russian forces from disputed territory.
This advance complicates the line of communication between Evhenivka and Novoselivka Persia for the Ukrainian army,
but at the same time it becomes a sticking point for the Russians,
making the war situation in this area more unstable.
The area is about 2 square kilometers in size.
Marinka area
Belkanovo-Boshirka sector
The Russians made a total of 19 attacks in these areas,
but there were no Russian advances in this area.
Rear areas
1st.
In the disputed region of Belgorod,
residents,
inconvenienced by the daily life,
demanded the resignation of President Vladimir Putin.
In Belgorod,
residents cannot go out safely because stray dogs are everywhere,
houses are looted by Russian troops,
and the police are not functioning,
making it impossible for residents to be safe.
The residents are asking themselves,
"Why do we have to live like this?
Why are they being evacuated to the basement?
We don't even know where we are.
We are united in demanding that President Putin and Governor Belgorod resign immediately.
The army must leave immediately.
2nd.
In Meltopol,
an airfield was attacked by Ukrainian military HIMARS and there was apparently an explosion.
Authorities said three missiles were shot down,
but video footage shows explosions and smoke rising from the ground.
Su-25s,
Ka52s,
and Mi8s were parked at the airfield,
and local media reported that a number of ambulances were on the scene.
Other than this,
we have information about the attack on the oil facility and the attack on the ammunition depot in Voronezh,
which we reported in yesterday's video: BBBB
South,
Zaporizhia Province
South,
province of Kherson.
In this sector,
the Russians made four attacks in and around Robotyne and one in Krinky.
In the northern outskirts of Velbove,
according to video footage with location information,
Ukrainian troops were shelling the mapped area,
and there is information that Russian troops advanced by one field.
The Russian attack was repulsed,
and a BMP infantry fighting vehicle,
a golf cart,
and two motorcycles were destroyed.
What you are seeing is from the Ukrainian side and the location indicated on the map.
We have updated the battle map to show the area as occupied by Russian forces from the disputed territory.

1st.
Ukrainian journalist Ptusov posted on social networking sites and reported that the Russian military,
the second largest in the world,
is using Mosin Nagan to attack Ukrainian troops.
The photo has been doctored for the healthy development of impressionable children under the age of 14,
but the appearance of barbed wire in the photo indicates that Russian troops attacked Ukrainian military positions.
The 30 Russian soldiers who charged in this raid were called to hell.
Analysis of the photos revealed that the Russian soldiers were using Mosinna guns.
Known as the Moshinka,
the gun was used more than 100 years ago in the Russo-Japanese War of 1904 and World War I.
It is a bolt-action rifle that can be loaded with five rounds.
He informed that "the Russian military deploys weapons unmatched in modern warfare."
2nd.
Mick Ryan,
a retired Australian major general and military expert,
told Business Insider that "Russia had the best opportunity to defeat Ukraine and squandered it at every turn."
To cut a long story short,
he analyzed that "Russia's best chance was late last year,
when it was short on ammunition and manpower due to Ukraine's reversal offensive," and noted,
"But over the past six months,
Russia has seized that opportunity for itself."
As to why,
he said,
"Russia continues to use small-scale assault tactics that continue to lose hundreds of men for every kilometer occupied,
because President Putin insisted on a war of attrition through assault.
This is a rare tactic in past history," he said.
He added,
"If we had a larger force and conducted an offensive operation,
we could have achieved great results.
It would have increased political and diplomatic pressure on Ukraine to negotiate peace.
However,
the Russians only conducted a series of small-scale assaults in various locations,
destroying their own chances.
He concluded,
"The question is whether Ukraine,
which is seeking to liberate its territory,
will have the physical,
moral,
and intellectual strength to surpass Russia in the second half of this year or next.
Third.
Belarusian President Lukashenko,
rumored to be having health problems,
announced that he needed to rest himself.
Lukashenko became ill within an hour of arriving in Kazakhstan,
where a summit meeting was held this month,
and was reportedly so pale that he could barely speak in his speech the next day.
That's all for today.
