Situation in Ukraine
It's been 682 days since Russia invaded Kyiv,
so let's start with general matters.
According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
the losses of the Russian troops are
800 soldiers
7 tanks
16 armored combat vehicles
13 cannons
1 multiple rocket launcher
2 air defense systems@
16 drones
1 cruise missile
19 other vehicles.
Across the entire front,
59 ground battles were reported in a single day.
And the ratio of the number of losses of Ukrainian equipment to Russian losses,
which can be visually confirmed,
is 1 to 1.4 compared to the number of losses on the Ukrainian side.
The Russian losses were mostly tanks and infantry fighting vehicles,
in that order,
while more than half of the Ukrainian losses were military trucks,
conspicuously destroyed in a single missile strike.
Here is a short news report on the situation in Ukraine.
You can also use YouTube's chapter feature to watch the necessary parts.
1.
Kadyrov,
the former head of the Chechen Republic,
announced that he would release 20 Ukrainian soldiers he is holding as prisoners of war in exchange for the lifting of sanctions against their relatives.
According to TASS,
Kadyrov,
a Chechen,
gave the list of prisoners to be released to Scott Ritter,
a former UN inspector who oversaw the removal of Iraq's weapons of mass destruction.
This Ritter,
a man who spreads Kremlin propaganda that "the West controls Ukraine and uses it for its own convenience," is shown in another video with several men in Ukrainian military uniforms,
believed to be prisoners of war,
who say that the sanctions are absurd and should be lifted for no good reason.
They narrated.
Second.
In Russia,
citizens who can afford cars have a hard time buying them because of Western sanctions,
and citizens who can afford cars prefer to buy Chinese-made cars over Russian ones.
Margarita Simonyan,
editor-in-chief of RT,
an English-language channel in Russia,
a celebrity known for her radicalism and support for the invasion of Ukraine,
recently bought a Chinese-made crossover,
the Changan CS55,
"many times cheaper than the German car I bought before,
comfortable and satisfying,
but..." Showing an accelerator pedal that had broken in the cold,
he said,
"When I straightened the carpet,
this garbage pedal fell off.
Upon closer inspection,
it was plastic garbage." He lamented.
Third.
Russia stopped treating wounded soldiers.
There are several reasons for this: first,
the number of wounded soldiers in the Russian army is increasing,
and hospitals in the Russian-occupied territories are overcrowded to the point of overflowing,
and there is no room to receive them,
There have also been a number of cases where wounded soldiers have deserted from hospitals,
either while in the hospital or during their rehabilitation period after being discharged,
thinking about their future.
As a result,
only moderately injured people can be treated in the hospitals,
and those with only broken limbs are not treated.
There was also no rehabilitation,
and patients were sent to the front immediately after being discharged from the hospital.
Incidentally,
the seriously wounded were sent to the Russian mainland,
but there were many cases in which they could not withstand the transport and died during the time they were sent to the front.
Now let us look at the war situation in the various regions.
Here are some of the areas where the war situation has changed.
Northeast Luhansk region
We will report on the war situation in the area from Halkiu and Kupyansk to the Svatove-Kreminna line and the area around Sibersk.
In this area,
the Russians attacked four times in Shinkivka and Petropavlivka,
and at least once in Serebryansky forest.
The spokesman of the 14th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,
Zamriga,
stated that "the Russians are carrying out regular attacks,
in one day 35 people went to hell and more than 60 were wounded,
but they quickly regroup and replenish their manpower," adding that the Russian military attacks have become routine and there are many reserve troops.
1.
In the Russian city of Belgorod,
north of Kharkiv,
the Ukrainian military conducted a special operation.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian military,
having received information that "a high-ranking member of the Supreme Command of the Russian Armed Forces was to visit the Russian military headquarters in Grayvoron,
Belgorod," laid mines on the only road leading there and attacked the convoy carrying the high-ranking member,
mortars and other weapons,
causing serious damage to the convoy.
Grayvoron is the place that was occupied by the Russian volunteer army and the "Russian Freedom" corps last May.
We are showing you a part of the operation,
which we have chosen to show you in a quiet area,
but it is part of the scene where soldiers are digging the ground along ruts and special forces are advancing through the forest.
This operation differs from the previous ones in that the Ukrainian army itself entered the Russian territory and conducted the operation.
Second
According to the video with location data,
the Russian troops closed the gap to Ivanivka and made a slight advance.
The video,
from the 43rd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian army,
shows a drone with a landmine on board looking at the Russian infantry.
The battle map has been updated to show the extent of the contested area as Russian-occupied territory.
Third.
According to information close to the Russian side,
Russian troops have attacked and advanced in the Serebryansky forest.
What we are showing you is the location of the battle map south of the military cemetery,
where the Chechen Ahmat units are observing the Ukrainian troops before shelling them.
There are no changes to the battle map at this time due to the fact that this took place in disputed territory.
There is no other information that could affect the war situation in this area.
Eastern Bakhmut
The following is an update on the situation in the Bakhmut area.
There have been four Russian attacks in this area,
but all have been repulsed by Ukrainian forces,
and there has been no information that would affect the war picture.
Since the beginning of the year,
the momentum of the Russian offensive has significantly decreased,
and the attacks have been limited to checking the Ukrainian forces.
Southeast Donetsk region.
Weather in Avdiivka is light snow.
Minimum temperature -1‹C,
maximum 6‹C.
Here is an update on the situation in Avdiivka,
Marinka and Vuhledar.
Avdiivka area
The Russians attacked Avdiivka 16 times and Pervomaiske and Neveleske 16 times.
The mayor of Barabash in Avdiivka said,
"The Russian army has increased the pace of its offensive since the 4th,
bombing and shelling,
but the Ukrainian army is also defending itself.
It is unlikely that they will take Avdiivka before the Russian presidential elections.
1.
Russian forces launched attacks to the north,
west and south of Krasnohorivka,
and according to positional video,
Russian forces advanced up to 5 meters south of Krasnohorivka in some places,
but no other advances were seen.
2.
On the other hand,
the Ukrainian army counter-attacked at the railroad northwest of Krasnohorivka,
which resulted in a position battle.
The image shown here is from the Russian side and shows the proximity of the two sides near the battle map.
The map has been updated to show this border forest from Russian-occupied to disputed territory.
In other axes of attack,
Ukrainian forces repelled the Russian attack,
and there was no information affecting the battle map.
Marinka sector
In this sector,
Russian forces launched seven attacks west of Marinka and Novomihailivka,
but Ukrainian forces defended them,
leaving the map unchanged.
Vuhledar sector
According to the position video,
the Ukrainian army has advanced west of Pavlivka.
What we are showing you is from the Russian side,
and it is a video of a drone flying towards the location on the battle map,
confirming the presence of Ukrainian troops in this place.
This area has been disputed for a long time,
but the battle map has been updated to show that the Ukrainian army has retaken the area.
The area is about 4 square kilometers.
South,
Zaporizhia region.
According to the Ukrainian General Staff,
the Russians launched eight attacks in Verbove and Robotyne,
which were repulsed by Ukrainian forces.
Meanwhile,
Ukrainian forces conducted drone and GMLRS attacks on the outskirts of Ocheretsvate in the rear,
destroying self-propelled artillery and military trucks.
The battlefield remained unchanged.
Rear Areas
Explosions were reported in Novofedlivka and Berzhansk on the west coast of Crimea,
and the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that Russian fighter jets had shot down five drones over the Black Sea.
South,
Kherson province.
A Russian military blogger reported that Ukrainian forces continue to send reinforcements to Krinky,
claiming that the Russian military is operating drones that are competitive with the Ukrainian military's powerful electronic warfare.
In Krinky,
the Russians launched nine multiple rocket attacks on Chahinka across the river and ten attacks on Krinky,
but no information was available to affect the war picture.
The map shown is from the Russian side,
on the right (west) bank of the Dnipro River at the location shown on the battle map.
Others
The number of people in Russia who are disillusioned with the war is growing rapidly,
and this is reflected in the data.
For example,
"Vladimir Solovyov's Night," a program synonymous with Russian propaganda talk shows in which all Russian conservatives talk about the war in Ukraine,
fell from 14th place last year to 35th place last month in the popularity rankings,
and its approval rating dropped from 3.6% to 2.1%.
In addition,
the number of visitors to the Komsomolskaya Pravda website,
which is considered Russia's propaganda media,
has dropped by just over 20% for the year,
a well-known military blogger named Pekov lost 15% of his readers in six months.
That's all for today.
Thanks for watching.
