こんにちは。2月2回目の週末を東京で過ごしているハウスミュージックラウンジ「秋葉原住宅」棟梁のSpinnageです。さいきんMOOGのanalog bass synthesizer Minitaurを導入しました。夜中に鳴らすとちょっと迷惑なくらいぶっといベースが出るので最高です。これでいい曲作るぞ！
Hi, I'm Spinnage, the director of the house music lounge Akihabara Housing Ltd., spending my second weekend of February in Tokyo. I recently got a MOOG Minitaur analogue bass synthesizer. It’s amazing—though it does produce an almost annoyingly loud bass when played in the middle of the night! Looking forward to making some great music with it.
さて、今週もいつものように、世界の新築ハウスミュージックを紹介していきます。ここから取り上げるのは、すべて僕が実際にダウンロード購入した曲。真剣勝負で選んだ楽曲たちです。さっそくご紹介していきますよ!
Now, as usual, I’m excited to introduce some new-built house music from around the world this week. Every track featured here is one I personally purchased and downloaded, chosen through a serious selection process. Let’s dive in!

1) Black Loops - Electrical (feat. Marlena Dae)
ベルリンのプロデューサー、Black Loopsの「Electrical」。落ち着いた大人の雰囲気が漂いますが、リズムはタイト。クールです。

2) Nathan Haines, Ruby. - Night Moves (Crackazat Remix)
はい最高。Nathan Hainesの「Night Moves」を、スウェーデン・ウプサラの彗星Crackazatが華麗にリミックス。「Rhythm under feet like hearbeat...」ではじまるサビのコード進行が格好良すぎる。
An outstanding remix of Nathan Haines' 'Night Moves' by Uppsala, Sweden's rising star Crackazat. The chorus chord progression, starting with ‘Rhythm under feet like heartbeat...,’ is just too cool.
3) Random Soul - Diving (Richard Earnshaw Extended Sugarsoul Mix)
英ボシャムのRichard Earnshawがリミックスを手がけた、Random Soulの「Diving」。ポップで軽快なサウンドに艶のあるベースが映えてます。

4) Li.La - Tell Me
スペイン・バレンシアのレーベルAgua SaladaからリリースされたLi.laの「Tell Me」。夢見るようなサウンドにうっとりします。

5) Icaro Mana - Sunday Morning
イタリアのGroovebomレーベルのコンピに収録されていた、ブラジル、リオ・クラロのプロデューサー・Icaro Manaの「Sunday Morning」。ソロをとるサックスとEオルガンのコントラストが楽しい。

6) Fabenger - Slow Motion
Fabengerの「Slow Motion」。抑制されたトーンでじわじわと盛り上げてくれます。

7) Kerri Chandler - Moving In
御大Kerri ChandlerのDowntown EPから「Moving In」。1998年にリリースされた曲のリイシューです。紛うことなきKerriサウンド、この濃厚な90年代フレーバーが心地良い。

8) Audiojack - Enter The Drum
2007年にリリースされた、イギリスの2人組Audiojackの「Enter The Drum」。ほぼドラムとベースだけの構成なのになんでこんなにミステリアスなんだろう。気に入りました。

9) Stephane Deschezeaux - Play the game
フランス・グルノーブルのプロデューサー、Stephane Deschezeauxの「Play the game」。なにも難しいことがないNu Discoです。Splice由来のボーカルサンプルに聞き覚えありすぎて笑った。

10) Saison - Keep Searching
ロンドンの2人組・Saisonの「Keep Searching」。切れ味のいいピアノのリフが心地良いです。

【Track of the Week】Nathan Haines, Ruby. - Night Moves (Crackazat Remix)
今週のTrack of the Weekはこの曲です。原曲も素晴らしいのですが、比較するとCrackazatが施したサビのリハーモナイズの華やかさや素敵さが分かると思います。リミックスのお手本みたいな曲です。
This week's Track of the Week is this song. The original is great, but when compared to the remix, you can really appreciate how gorgeous and well-crafted the chorus rearrangement is by Crackazat. The remix is a model of how it should be done.
