Please know the circumstance Mr. Mohammed Akram living in Gaza stripe is caught in

  Mr. Mohammed Akram belongs to Islamic University of Gaza, majoring in Medcine, the collage of which was said to be one of the most beautiful facilities in Gaza stripe but has been seized by IDF as their headquarter. He should be in the 3d grade, but all the education at his college is currently suspended due to the monolateral war. Now he dedicates himself to the volunteer works at hospitals, living in the tored tent at the coastal area in Mawasi with his family which consists of 11 members including even a 1-year-and-a-half baby. Amidst his busy schedules for his duties at hospitals and at home, he kindly cooperated with me and answered my basic questions to let people know what's going on in Gaza stripe and promote his GoFundMe campaine. I am writing this article in the mid of Oct 2024 and he tells me that he cannot sleap at night because of aches in his bones due to serious cold and that sometimes the seawaves are about to reach out to his family's tent during high tide. Imagine that you are in such a circumstance, commuting to hospitals for volunteer duties day and night through the devastating scenary with full of debris without sleeping in the tored tent in winter, and always under the fear of death.
  I hope this article reaches out to peope worldwide, and get more people to pay attention to what's happening and donate him to assist his life.

- Before this war, where did you live in Gaza?

Before the war, I lived in the eastern part of Khan Yunis, in the town of Abasan al-Kabira

- Before this war, what were you doing?

Before the war I was studying medicine, I am in the second year, I am supposed to be in the third year now but because of the war we stopped studying

- How are you displaced in Mawashi area ?

I was not displaced directly to the Mawasi area of ​​Khan Yunis. I was displaced many times, the last of which was to Mawasi Khan Yunis. I was displaced first to a shelter center (school) in Khan Yunis camp. After that, we left there after this center was bombed, and then we went to Rafah. After that, we were displaced from Rafah to Mawasi Khan Yunis

- How is your current situation?

My family and I are in a very bad situation. We have no source of income and all our savings have run out. We live in a torn tent on the beach in Mawasi Khan Yunis. We suffer in obtaining clean drinking water, and we suffer in obtaining healthy food. Most of our food now depends on canned food, knowing that these canned food are unhealthy, as they are full of preservatives and have been exposed to the sun for long periods

-Can you share the structure of your family members?

- The comment and your opinion about this monolateral war

We have been exposed to a war of genocide for more than a year, in which thousands of children, thousands of women and thousands of innocent people have been killed. We are exposed to a war of starvation and thirst, this inhumane war that we are facing in front of the world, and no one holds the occupation accountable for what it is doing. We are human beings like the world. Where are our rights to live in peace, the right to education, the right to food, the right to sleep, the right to life? We are being robbed of all our rights.

- The Purpose of fundraising on GoFundMe

The purpose of these donations is to help me and my family survive this war. Life here is very expensive because of the siege and the closure of the crossings, so I want you to help me and my family so that we can live in the shadow of this war. I want to buy food, drink and a new tent because winter is coming and I want to buy winter clothes and shoes for me and my family.

- Can you examplify the price of basice things such as clean water, healthy foods, tent, clothes??

A gallon of drinking water costs 2 euros, a kilo of tomatoes costs 13 euros, a kilo of potatoes and other vegetables costs 10 euros, a kilo of frozen chicken costs 25 euros, a kilo of frozen veal costs 30 euros, and the price is not fixed and is increasing little by little as a result of the closure of the crossings to these basic materials for more than a month.

The shoes cost 150 to 200 euros. The shoes have not been in for more than a year, and there are rarely any shoes.

A tent in size of 6-meter length×4-meter width adequate for my family was formerly sold around 1,000EURO, but now 1,500EURO. Currently, the price for good tents is rising up due to closure of crossing and closer winter.
