Lost in Linguistic Limbo: My Learning Dilemma
It’s kind of funny that sometimes I completely lose motivation to study English and have a sudden realization that Japanese is the language I most respect. But after a while, I realize I enjoy speaking in English.
It’s not about what I say in English but more about the way I sound when speaking in English, and what I like the most is probably how liberating it feels.
I was uncertain about how to approach my English studies as the day when I might lose my job in a few months approaches, but, after thinking for a while, I’ve concluded that I don’t have to force myself to decide between the two.
Following my instincts on what to study based on my mood is my best solution. It might sound self-indulgent and ego-centric, but this is my style, after all.
