Bridget Jones newest movie
I read an article about an upcoming movie of the Bridget Jones series. It will be based on a book written in 2013, which I didn't realize had been published about a decade ago. When I found out they were starting to produce the movie, I had mixed feelings because, except for the first Bridget Jones movie, the prior ones were crap. I even doubted Colin Firth's character and his decision to reprise his role in last movie. Needless to say, the film was horrible, and I couldn't finish watching it without skipping some scenes. In my opinion, what sets "Bridget Jones" apart is the lovable protagonist and the scripts that end with a happily ever after, which is why I only liked the first one where she ended up with the stable man who is an attorney. It implies that a lonely and unhappy protagonist becomes happy in the end. However, the series continued and continued... Anyways, as I wrote, I had complicated feelings toward the new movie, but I also have a positive feeling about it because it's kind of amusing and funny that these silly series continue to be filmed again and again. I am curious about how Bridget Jones will turmoil in her 50s.
