Let me talk about my day.

きょうは、あさ、6時半（で、じはん）に起（お）きて、朝（あさ）ごはんを食（た）べて、子供たちが学校（がっこう）に行ったあと、italki　のレッスンをふたつ　しました。
This morning, I woke up at 6:30, had breakfast, and after the kids went to school, I did two lessons on italki.

それから、友達（ともだち）と新（あたら）しいカフェに行きました。
After that, I went to a new café with a friend.

そのカフェは川越（かわごえ）の喜多院（きたいん）というお寺の（てら）の中にあります。
The café is located inside a temple called Kitain in Kawagoe.

駐車場（ちゅうしゃじょう）からカフェまで少（すこ）し歩（ある）きました。We walked a bit from the parking lot to the café.

もう9月（くがつ）なのに、まだ毎日（まいにち）暑（あつ）いです。
Even though it's already September, it's still hot every day.

友達はカレーを、私はサンドイッチを注文（ちゅうもん）しました。
My friend ordered curry, and I ordered a sandwich.

ケーキとドリンクがセットで、1900円（えん）でした。
The cake and drink set was 1,900 yen.

キャロットケーキがとてもおいしかったです。
The carrot cake was so good.

川越（かわごえ）は昔（むかし）の建物（たてもの）がたくさんあるので大好（だいす）きです。

友達といろいろなことを　話（はな）しました。
My friend and I talked about all sorts of things.

その友達とは、子供（こども）を通（とお）して知（し）り合（あ）いました。I got to know her through our children.

子供（こども）の年（とし）が近（ちか）くて、共通（きょうつう）の話題（わだい）があるので、楽しいです。
Since our kids are close in age and we have common topics to talk about, it's always fun.
