The symbol of Sakura Furusato Plaza is the Dutch windmill. Colorful flowers bloom in each season, such as tulips in spring, sunflowers in summer, and cosmos in autumn, gently soothing the hearts of visitors.

The Saranka store in the plaza is also famous for its soft-serve ice cream. The soft-serve ice cream is made with fresh milk from a local dairy farm and has a mild and rich taste.

10min. walk from  Keisei Sakura Station

Boshuya Soba Restaurant, located in Sakura City, is a popular soba restaurant serving handmade soba noodles made with the utmost care. Using carefully selected domestic buckwheat flour, the soba noodles are carefully prepared by craftsmen and have a wonderful aroma and excellent thirst-quenching properties.

The restaurant also offers a wide selection of local sake and tea to enjoy with your soba.

The photo below is the Tororo soba I ordered when I visited the restaurant. The combination of local specialty yam and chewy buckwheat noodles was excellent.

5 | Okayama Shokudo

pork cutlet

Located in Sakura City, “Okayama Shokudo” is a popular diner where you can enjoy home-style cooking that makes the most of fresh local ingredients. The at-home atmosphere offers a wide variety of menu items, and in addition to the standard set menus and rice bowls, seasonal specials are also available. In particular, the homemade miso soup and hearty bowls of rice are loved by many repeat customers.

The restaurant's interior is a relaxed space with a warm, woody atmosphere, and is easily visited by families, friends, or even by a single person.
