Japan to bet big on hydrogen to meet 2050 zero-emission goal
- Why: PM Suga set a target to reach zero net-carbon by 2050 back in October. Solar and Wind energy utilization is impacted by the weather, so noncarbon emitting hydrogen is key to reach the target.- Key players: I created "Hydro-basket" of relevant names with largest moves. These are "pure-plays", so excludes conglomerates such as Toyota and KHI.
