【DAY21】An Unexpected Lesson from a Pickle on the Ground
Hi, it's Rii :D
Today, while I was waiting for my family in front of a hot dog stand, I noticed a pickle lying on the ground just ahead of me. I thought, “Someone’s definitely going to step on that.” Sure enough, the next person who walked by stepped right on it. Watching this unfold, I suddenly wondered, “How do you say ‘ピクルスを踏みつける’ in English?” So I looked it up. By the time I figured it out, the next person noticed the pickle and stepped over it instead. “Phew, safe!” Then I thought, “Wait, how do you say ‘跨ぐ’ in English?” So I looked that up, too. After that, every time someone stepped on or stepped over the pickle, I was mentally narrating the situation. It was surprisingly fun, and I learned some new expressions. Overall, it was quite a productive time!
