英検1級2次試験サンプルスピーチ: Is Japan doing enough to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels?

Stance: No

Japan is not doing enough to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels.

Firstly, Japan is still burning a lot of fossil fuels. For example, many people are still using fossil fuel-operated cars rather than electric cars. Japan is behind in the research on those areas.

Secondly, Japan is also behind in searching for a cleaner energy source. The introduction of solar energy is a good source to reduce the use of fossil fuels. However, solar panels are very expensive and Japanese people can not afford them.
