小説/Novel "Transparent Statue" Chapter 1

This time, I wrote my post in English. Please help yourself reading this work. This is a challenge for me as a writer.

Chapter one - In a city

“Transparent White”
This was one of his masterpieces. In the course of his life, he had created loads of artistic works. Amid them, this statue, slanting forward, standing on a black bank with stretched arms to the both of the right and left side of its own body, formed a cross, like the cross on which Jesus Crist had been nailed thousands of years before. It’s white surface was processed close enough to glass attached to, for example, elegant office buildings, rooms of apartments, and cozy houses. Your residence should have at least one. Of course, white of color was different from being transparent. You know, white was one of the variations of colors, which mean you couldn’t, through the statue, the view behind the statue itself. But if you compared the white skin of the statue to something else, among various kinds of things, that would be glass.

His career as an artist began when he was a kid or baby at the age of three or four. He couldn’t remember how the artistic aspect got started, and even its reason. It was like he was drawing pictures with crayons on papers. He was such a small kid. Which is why, when his mother found the scene, where he was just playing stuff called “drawing pictures”, her astonishment was so overwhelming that, at first, she thought he was ruining some historically great artistic work with his favorite crayons. Soon after she realized he was not botching a greatest work but was creating the first artistic work, what was needed, she thought, was an exorcism to eliminate some kind of demon possessing her own son.
At night, after his father came home from his work place, their prime concern was how to find a teacher for raising the artistic talent given to their own son. On that date, his parents decided to have him learn art.
This was how he made the first step, as an artist.
