Today's English class was composed by English teacher and Japanese student whose major was economics.

The teacher asked us what are the properties in Japan as usual.
(property:財産という意味も)
The student responded  manga and anime were Japanese original culture.
They told about which kinds of anime you prefer to. Though I'm not familiar to anime, I like attack on titan, which have a story of people fight against human eating giant titan. This story is complicated and serious, but many people are attracted by its storyline and belief of characters.
I'm wondering if I could introduce the selling point of attack on titan. So I asked chat GPT, "what points fascinate the people by attack on titan.

I realized I didn't introduce the titan was like. The chat GPT explain gigantic humanoid creatures called Titans. This background is sufficient for this anime.
I told the selling points of this anime only the storyline is interesting. But this feelings is poor to describe. I should tell this anime narrow down the nature of humanity, price of freedom, and the consequence of war.
As the story progresses, titans are used as strong weapon by people in other nations who hate the main country with historical background.
These strong telling by describing each depiction makes us memorable.

In case I asked this same questions, I want to have a stocks for detail explanation for evangelion.

protagonist:主人公 humanoid 人間に似た blurred あいまいな
villains:邪悪な人 delves into:掘り下げる high-stakes 一か八か
heartbreaking:心が痛む intricacies of this world 世界間のいざこざ
meticulously 慎重に triumph 勝利

The teacher asked us the beginning of Anime or manga. I try to introduce the tyojujinbutugiga, it was a scroll and written in 12th century. In this painting, some animals acts as wrestler, I remember. If you have watched "Naruto", a character who use his drawing as weapon. He is inspired by the origin of manga.

I asked chat GPT for tyojugiga as a part of manga origin,

these scrolls are often regarded as precursors to manga, although the term "manga" itself did not exist at the time.

The scrolls depict anthropomorphic animals engaging in various human activities, such as dancing, wrestling, and even participating in religious ceremonies. The artwork is lively and dynamic, showcasing a sense of movement and storytelling. While the scrolls do not feature speech bubbles or panels like modern manga, they do convey a narrative through the sequence of images, making them an early form of visual storytelling.
The property of "Chojujinbutugiga" regarding the origin of manga lies in its sequential nature and the use of pictures to convey a story. The scrolls demonstrate the concept of telling a narrative through a series of interconnected images, which is a fundamental characteristic of manga

scroll 巻物 depict 描写する

I couldn't answer why chojugiga is the origin of manga. Because the storytelling is conducted by sequence of images. It can convey the scene easily by using visual directly. Of course,  it is distinct from modern manga regarding the usage of speech bubbles.

And then I asked the same questions followed by him, I told the experience of the impression against tattoo among other nations.
In Japan, tattoo is a symbol of yakuza, so people who have tattoo prohibited to enter hot spring because it scares some people. I know this insight is original in Japanese culture. Recently, people in younger generations don't dislike tattoo because the association with yakuza is getting weaker, and many influencers in other countries have tattoo as they are proud of their tattoo.
The teacher also have several tattoos. One of them was in his arm, it was printed  "起死回生" in Chinese character. I could not explain the term "起死回生" at that time. This term is once I face the situation easily to be dead ,but something lead us reborn.

I know the students from China in our lab have known about the yakuza, but it was super-surprising  yakuza is famous in the US as well.

As a next topic, do you have any idea the feeling toward the U.S. compared with Japan.
I responded the scale of movie made in Hollywood is tremendous. This character are also shared in research cooperating with many people who owns various background.
At this point, I dream I want to conduct research  I answered.
To support my thought of the scale regarding Hollywood movie, I explained the example of mission impossible ,which is the story about the spy travel around the world and then fight against crime syndicate.
This movie also illustrate the politics situation  between the U.S and the Russia. This scale is unbelievable the movie in Japan, so I respect the parts of the US leading the world.

But the teacher indicated that although it was  important to learn the history, but it was bad to illustrate the conflict in the viewpoint of politics.
This story may arise the bias or prejudice toward the countries which acts as enemy. This expression have a risk of bad influence.

We totally agreed with his opinion.
