Our Approach to Safety
At REALITY, you can break free from the constraints of the real world to become “whoever you want” and express yourself in several ways.
We have users who actively pursue their dreams and objectives, users who support those giving their best in their activities, users who just want to enjoy a relaxed REALITY lifestyle, and many other forms of becoming whoever you want.
In order to make REALITY a place where many people can connect and engage in a variety of activities, we believe that it is necessary to make REALITY a safe environment for the community to use. We have been working on various initiatives such as strengthening audits and developing functions to make REALITY safer. On the other hand, we have not disclosed to you our specific efforts and the number of detections to date.
To ensure that everyone can enjoy REALITY with peace of mind, we have decided to launch a Transparency Report this month to disclose the number of issues that have been addressed, our efforts to improve safety, problems reported by users, and our policy for resolving these issues. The Transparency Report will be updated monthly.
Number of Cases Handled - June 2024
In June, all indicators increased, partly due to the summer vacation period in some regions. Additionally, with the strengthened crackdown on event fraud starting in June, permanent account suspensions have significantly increased compared to the previous month

Efforts in June 2024
Cautionary Notes on Account Sharing and Using the Same Device (Republishing)
At REALITY, we take strict measures against users who repeatedly engage in malicious violations, including suspending all accounts owned by those users or restricting the use of their devices. If you share your account or use the same device with these penalized users, your account may also face similar restrictions as a related account.
Furthermore, allowing third parties to use your account information is prohibited under Article 4 of the Terms of Use (Member's Account Management Obligations), and any use of the app is considered to have been done by the account holders themselves. Please understand that we cannot accept individual requests to lift penalties incurred as a result of account sharing or using the same device.
To protect your important account from unwarranted penalties, we kindly ask you to refrain from sharing your account or device.
Regarding Monitoring by Global Moderators
Since the monitoring by global moderators began in late May, more than a month has passed, and we would like to report on the current status of activities.
Since the start of monitoring, we have received many reports from global moderators, and many of these reports have led to penalties or account suspensions. Even reports from global moderators who did not submit many reports have led to the identification of serious violations of the rules.
In addition to their contributions through reporting, global moderators have also engaged in educational activities, such as spreading awareness about "effective ways to report" to other users. The activities of global moderators have greatly contributed to the health of the community. We believe that this initial trial was a great success.
On the other hand, there were many people who were not aware of the existence of global moderators due to insufficient announcements from the staff team. However, thanks to the proactive awareness-raising activities by the global moderators, more and more people have gradually become aware of this initiative. We will continue to work together with global moderators to ensure better information sharing.
Throughout the first phase of activities, we have received various feedback from global moderators. Based on this feedback, we will consider future global moderator initiatives and Trust & Safety measures.
All global moderators who participated in the first phase have expressed their desire to participate in this initiative again. We are currently recruiting global moderators for the second phase until July 25th, so we would be delighted if those who participated this time, as well as those who wish to join for the first time, would apply.

We will continue to provide various safety updates, including new moderation tools and revised policies, so that you can enjoy REALITY more safely and securely.
