平成6（1994）年に発刊され、今年で30周年を絵本「あらしのよるに」。その発刊30周年を記念して歌舞伎『あらしのよるに』が、今年の9月南座公演に続き、12月に歌舞伎座で上演されます。新作歌舞伎として平成27（2015）年に南座で初演された本作について、がぶを演じ続けてきた獅童は、「5度目の再演となります。今回は新たな配役として、私は狼の長である、がぶの父親役も勤めることになりました。また、私の倅の陽喜と夏幹も出演します」と、意気込みは十分。初めてめい役に挑むことになった菊之助は、「芯が強いながらも愛くるしく演じていきたい」と、笑顔で話します。
