adieu（上白石萌歌）のニューアルバム「adieu 4」の収録曲で、川谷絵音（indigo la End、ゲスの極み乙女、ジェニーハイ、礼賛、ichikoro）が作詞作曲、Yaffleが編曲を担当した「泡吹」のミュージックビデオがYouTubeにて公開された。

11月27日に発売される「adieu 4」はYaffleと小袋成彬がサウンドプロデュースを手がけた、adieuにとって約2年ぶりの新作アルバム。「泡吹」はアルバムのリリースに先立って11月13日に先行配信された。

泡吹とは、切った生木の枝を燃やすと切り口から盛んに泡が出ることに名前が由来するアワブキ科アワブキ属の落葉高木の名称。そんな「泡吹」のMVについて、監督を務めた谷崎洋志は「いつもと違った空気の現場で、いつもと違った雰囲気のMVができました。adieuのまた違う温度や匂いを感じてもらえれば幸いです」とコメントしている。

Hiroshi Tanizaki commented, ``We were able to create a music video with a more flexible atmosphere than usual in a venue with a more flexible atmosphere than usual.I hope you can feel the different temperature and smell of adieu.''

上白石萌歌の「Adieu」の意味は？

この『adieu』というのは、英語ではなくて、フランス語なんですよね。 『さようなら』という意味で、もともと「ナラタージュ」という映画の主題歌を歌わせていただいたんですけど、その時は私だという身を明かさずに、adieuという名前で活動していました。
