姉は「ごめん」と手を合わせて泣いた。連覇目前だった日本を待っていたのは、まさかの結末だった。北京冬季五輪で15日に行われたスピードスケート女子団体追い抜きの決勝。転んだ高木菜那（29）は肩をふるわせ、妹の美帆選手（27）はそっと抱きしめた。

"I'm sorry," the older sister cried, clasping her hands together. Japan was on the verge of winning consecutive championships, but what awaited them was an unexpected outcome. Winner of the women's speed skating team pursuit competition held on the 15th at the Beijing Winter Olympics. Nana Takagi (29) fell, her shoulders shaking, and her younger sister Miho (27) gently hugged her.
