The clownfish, with its vibrant orange body and distinctive white stripes, is like a tiny gem within the coral reefs. These small fish live in close symbiosis with a type of coral known as sea anemones, hiding safely among the anemone’s stinging tentacles, which protect them from predators. Within this sanctuary, the clownfish can thrive, sheltered by its host.

Clownfish, in turn, bring benefits to the sea anemones. By swimming around the anemone, they create water currents that help it take in oxygen. Additionally, small bits of leftover food from the clownfish act as a valuable source of nutrients for the anemone. Through this intricate balance, they sustain each other, demonstrating a remarkable example of mutual survival.
