Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver のメンバーだった Terry Baucom , Randy Graham , Jimmy Haley が1885年 Quicksilverを脱退して作ったのが
The New Quicksilver でした。
Mandolin には1982年の World’s Fair に17歳で参加し Mandolin Championship を獲得した新進気鋭の若手 Alan Bibey を採用しました。
このアルバムは The New Quicksilver が1986年に発売した Ready For The Times をバンド名、アルバム名を Baucom, Bibey, Graham & Haley とし、
曲順を変えて1998年に再発売したものです。
The New Quicksilver は1988年に解散しました。
解散後、1991年に Terry Baucom と Alan Bibey は元 Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver のメンバー Russell Moore , Ray Deaton と共に IIIrd Tyme Out を結成しました。
1998年、このアルバム再発売を期に録音メンバー4人で BlueRidge を結成しました。BlueRidge はメンバーチェンジを繰り返しながら2007年に解散しました。
